ELIDE FIRE EXTINGUISHING BALL

The elide fire extinguishing ball is new to Australia, and is a revolutionary, light weight, maintenance free fire fighting tool.

The extinguishing ball is a round sphere made from pent foam (polystyrene) and is CFC free, which makes it an environmentally green friendly product.

It is filled with a dry fire extinguishing powder (mono ammonium phosphate) which is used in standard dry chemical fire extinguishers and is non-toxic.  This dry chemical is for use to fight Class A, B and C fires. Inside this sphere is a charge with an activation strip that runs around the circumference of the ball on the outside.

The charge is very small and upon activation is non hazardous to people, plants, and animals. The ball is wrapped in PVC plastic with all the markings and identifying the uses of the product.

When mounted in high risk areas, the fire extinguishing ball becomes a passive 3 in one device.

(1) Flame detector – automatically activates on flame contact within 3-5 seconds.

(2) Fire extinguisher – When flame contacts the ball, it disperses a fire retardant in trying to extinguish the fire.

(3) Fire alarm – makes a loud audible bang to alert you about a fire in progress automatically.

It works 24/7 without needing to pull a pin or be shaken.    Mounted, rolled or tossed, (1) once the flame makes contact on the activation strip of the ball, within 3-5 seconds the ball will activate and (2) spread the dry extinguishing powder in a 360 degree pattern up to 4 square meters  to help extinguish the fire. During the activation of the ball, (3) a loud audible bang up to and no more than 140db will also be heard,  this is to inform people in the area, asleep or not, that there is a situation at hand.
