This Package Includes:

Control System HCS-1

The Hydro-X system is a professional-grade single zone environmental system. It is fully customizable and modularly designed. Installation is simple and the system is easy to expand upon. The Hydro-X system can control most grow lights brands, HVAC systems, mini-split air conditioners, commercial dehumidifiers and humidifiers, as well as CO2 generators or regulators. With the free TrolMaster App, the user can access all of the settings and alerts on the system from anywhere at anytime.

*The HCS-1 is the brain of the Hydro-X system. It comes with a 3-in-1 Temp/Humid/Photocell sensor.

*Internet Connection Note: TrolMaster’s main controllers can be connected to the internet in order to use the available APP. Most internet services available including land-based and cellular internet are compatible. However, HughesNet / Viasat Satellite internet is NOT compatible with TrolMaster controllers at this time.

Data Record Note: The HCS-1 can record the data coming in from the sensors onto a CSV file. To use this feature, you must first insert a MicroSD card 32GB or less into the MicroSD slot on the bottom of the HCS-1 or NFS-1 controllers. Once the card is inserted, the unit will automatically store data so it can be viewed later.

CO2 Station DSC-2A (AKA DSC-1)

The TrolMaster DSC-1 CO2 control / device module allows user the to easily connect and control standard supplemental CO2 devices or CO2 exhaust controls to the Hydro-x. Any CO2 device that is 10-amps @ 120 volts or less can be controlled by the DSC-1.

LED status:
* Blinking green FAST: If the LED is blinking quickly, that means the module has not been addressed to the controller OR that module does not have a good connection to the controller. *Pressing the small button on the module will address/link the module when first installed.
* Blinking green SLOW: If you see a slowly blinking green LED, that means the module is addressed and connected to the controller, and the module is currently turned OFF.
* SOLID green: If you see the LED is on solid (no blinking) that means the modules are addressed, connected and currently turned ON.
* Blinking red: If you see the LED change to blinking red, that means the module has been overloaded. To reset the overload unplug the module from the power.

Program Station – DSP-2A (AKA DSP-1)

The TrolMaster DSP-2A program device module (timer module) works like a multi-function timer. The DSP-1 allows the user to easily connect any device that needs to be controlled by TIME to the Hydro-x. Any device that is 10-amps at 120 volts or less can be controlled by the DSP-1.

LED status:
* Blinking green FAST: If the LED is blinking quickly, that means the module has not been addressed to the controller OR that module does not have a good connection to the controller. *Pressing the small button on the module will address/link the module when first installed.

CO2 Sensor – MBS-S8

The optional CO2 Sensor (MBS-S8) measures the CO2 PPM within the growing area. Using the MBS-S8 allows the users to connect and control their supplemental CO2 system using the Hydro-X. *Used in combination with one or more DSC-1 CO2 device modules.

 Dual Condition Adaptor DCC-1

The TrolMaster DCC-1 provides a simple solution to control a single device, with more than one condition. For example, people like to turn on their exhaust fans when either temp or humidity is too high; shut off CO2 when turn on exhaust fans. There are many other examples where two conditions can be either combined or split.

The DCC-1 is designed to be used in combination with one of TrolMaster’s plug-in style module. (DSC-1, DSH-1/2, DST-1/2 and DSP-1).

Once connected to the plug-in module using the RJ12 cable built-into the DCC-1, the DCC-1 will act in concert with that plug-in module to control whatever device is connected to the plug-in module.

The DCC-1 can also be set to work in two distinct ways using the “Interlock” function.

INTERLOCK OFF: When the DCC-1 interlock is set to be off, EITHER condition that are associated with that pair of modules that are being used together can be activated individually for the device to be activated. (modules used in “parallel”)

Examples from above for interlock OFF would be:

– Turn on an exhaust fan to reduce temp or humidity.

– Turn on an exhaust fan at night using a recycling timer OR when Humidity is too high

INTERLOCK ON: When the DCC-1 Interlock is selected to be on, BOTH conditions that are associated with that pair of modules that are being used together must be activated TOGETHER in order for the device to be activated. (modules used in “series”)

Examples from above for interlock ON would be:

– Shut off a CO2 device when an exhaust fan is running

– Shut off lights if the temperature gets too warm within the area
